Who we are

Welcome to Golden 22 , a nonprofit dedicated to providing supportive tools and resources for individuals living with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other neurological disorders. Our mission is to empower those affected, their caregivers, and loved ones with practical aids and journals that foster independence, dignity, and connection.

Golden22 Calendars offer more than just a date. These simple yet impactful tools can:

•  Bring peace and clarity during confusing times
•  Inspire engagement in holiday and birthday activities
•  A valuable resource for facilities, promoting a smooth daily routine

•  A calming influence on staff, supporting their care and management

Moreover, Golden22 Calendars can:
•  Facilitate communication between caregivers, family members, and healthcare professionals
•  Help individuals maintain a sense of control and independence
•  Provide visual cues, compensating for memory loss and cognitive decline
•  Support the development of daily routines, promoting a sense of structure and normalcy
•  Enable individuals to stay connected with important events, appointments, and social engagements
•  Offer a sense of accomplishment and pride, as individuals can track their progress and achievements
By providing a clear, visual representation of time, Golden22 Calendars can significantly improve the daily lives of individuals with cognitive impairments, their caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
Golden Calendars has been non-profit since its introduction in 2020 and has donated over 400 calendars to several skilled nursing facilities and schools.

This calendar was made with highlighted month, year and holiday for easy reference and guidance. large print numbers make it simple to navigate. Clip arts also add that extra information for remembrance.

A message from the creator: Working as a PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for over a decade at several rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities in Houston, I found the use of calendars to be lacking or close to non-existent. Lacking especially to those living in memory care units at these facilities. Unless you had scheduled visits from an SLP the use of calendars were minimal. Those that were being used by the current SLPs were just not adequate enough at times.

Therefore, Golden Calendars was designed to help create a more stable and oriented environment for those that need it the most.

We would love to continue to produce and donate these calendars for patients in need. Donate one today!

With love ,
Sandra Solis-Cardenas, MA, CCC-SLP
